Mini Drugstore Haul! (Review & Swatches)

Hey! I finally decided to buy two Revlon products at my local CVS and Rite Aid. I really wanted to buy these products for a while now, but I just never got myself into buying them. There are some raves on the Revlon Photoready Cream Blush so I decided to buy the most wearable one, to me, which is the color pinched. I also bought the Revlon Colorstay in Delightful, because I just wanted a neutral quad.
(Revlon Colorstay quad- Delightful 575 & Revlon Photoready- Pinched 100)

The Revlon Colorstay quad is pretty pricey, but luckily my local Rite Aid was having a sale with 40% off of the Revlon products, so I ended up getting this quad for only about... $4.674→$4.67.

Now the swatches:
(I had a lot of trouble with taking the picture because the colors weren't really coming out, but this is probably the truest one to the colors that I actually took, except the pink, beige and black are sparkly)

Pros
1. The colors are neutral
2. The matte off-white and the dark glittery brown/black are somewhat pigmented
3. If you don't want the most vibrant color, then the shimmery salmon color and shimmery pink/beige aren't really pigmented
4. I only got this for around $4.67
5. Packaging isn't too bad/ Compact
6. There are many unique shades of the quads (Addictive, Luscious, Precocious, Adventurous, Brazen, Siren, Seductive, Goddess, Inspired, Attitude, Enchanted, Moonlit, Serene, Bombshell, Decadent, and Delightful)
Cons
1. Pricey if you didn't get it on sale
2. If you wanted very pigmented shadows, the majority of these shadows are not pigmented
3. You really have to build up on the shadow if you want it to appear exactly the way it is in the packaging
4. The shimmery salmon and shimmery pink/beige are pretty chalky

Overall
This product isn't absolutely terrible but I don't feel like it's worth the whole $8 and so I wouldn't get it again because it's price and the shadows aren't really pigmented, unless if the one I got was a mess up and maybe the other quads are better and I'm just having bad luck with them. But I do like the ideas of the unique shades that each quad comes with so maybe I will one day try them out again later and I might fall in love with them and have better luck.

Revlon Photoready Cream Blush is very pricey and it runs around $15 at drugstores. I luckily had 2 "$5.00 off"coupons for my local CVS, so I ended up getting this product for only $4.79.

Now the swatches:
(Sadly, my camera didn't give the product justice because I had trouble sticking out my arm while taking a photo)

Pro
1. It can be used on the cheeks or lips
2. The color comes out almost just like the way it's packaged, so it's pigmented
3. The packaging is really nice; I've heard it's like MAC's tendertone's packaging
4. For me at least, the label is somewhat centered because some of the labels aren't and when it's not centered it can kind of bother me
5. If you don't mind a little scent, then this is fine because it has a tiny scent
6. It has a creamy and silky texture
7. There are 3 different unique shades in total (Pinched, Flushed, and Coral Reef)
8. I got this product for only around $5
Cons
1. Pricey if you don't have a coupon there's no sale for the item
2. If you don't like any scents, it may bother you because it has a tiny scent
3. If non-centered labels bother you, it might be a problem since some come not centered
4. Only has 3 shades, it's be nice if they had more

Overall
I am loving this cream blush because the color is true to what it looks like in its packaging and can complement different skin tones as well as give a flush of color (as if grandma had PINCHED your cheeks, get it? 'Cause that's what the color is called). Anyways, I also enjoy how you can use this product on your cheeks or lips if you want to give a bit of a peachy tint and simply using your fingers or brush to apply this silky/creamy product. Sadly, this product is very pricey and so I would wait until I get another coupon.

You can purchase these items at drugstores that sell Revlon products.

Let me know what you think about these products and maybe you had a better chance with the quads than I did.

p.s. After writing this post, I ended up trying the quad on my eyes and it actually doesn't look half bad.

CandHAUL!

Hey guys, it's my first haul ever and see how I did the "CandHAUL" part? Yea I know it's corny. Anyways, I just came back from shopping at my nearest Bed Bath& Beyond, and oh my gosh I didn't expect to buy so many candles. They were having a really good deal with the votive candles (which are basically sample size/a little smaller than a palm size candle) by Yankee Candle. The deal was that if you buy 9 of the votive candles, then you get another 3 votive candles for free. Obviously I couldn't pass up on that, so instead of buying two medium sized candles (that I was originally going to do), I ended up getting 12 small candles. I felt that would have been a better choice since I really wanted try other scents since I didn't own any Yankee Candles and the size was decent for me. Since I ended up doing this deal, I saved...
($5.97)
(R→L: Pink Sands, Mango Peach Salsa X2, Vanilla Cupcake, Sun& Sand, Vanilla Satin, French Vanilla, Vanilla Lime, Beach Walk, Ocean Side, Lavender Vanilla, Midsummer's Night)

Since the cute packaging looks like cupcake/muffin holders and the colorful candles are sitting inside, they made me think they are yummy cupcakes.

I'll show you the ones I got. Oh, and I'm going to play a little game, I'm going to attempt to describe the smell (I'm not the best at describing scents, but I'll try my best!) and then compare my thoughts to the Yankee Candle's descriptions. Here we go!

Pink Sands - $1.99
My thoughts: It has a really pretty pastel pink color. It definitely has a citrus-y smell, and including a somewhat scent of a sweet melon with a bit of floral.

Yankee Candle's description: "It's an exotic island escape in the beautiful mix of bright citrus, sweet florals and spicy vanilla."
Mango Peach Salsa - $1.99 My thoughts: It's a mango colored candle and it has that mango zesty smell, with some type of spices.

Yankee Candle's description: "Sweet and zesty . . . juicy mangoes and peaches livened with citrus, ginger flowers and pink pepper."
Vanilla Cupcake - $1.99 My thoughts: It's a light buttery color that mainly smells like a really sweet vanilla frosting of the cupcake with some kind of buttery-ness.

The Yankee Candle's description: "The rich, creamy aroma of vanilla cupcakes with hints of lemon and lots of buttery icing."
Sun& Sand - $1.99 My thoughts: It's a beige/sand color candle and I feel like it has somewhat of a very tiny scent of sunscreen with a semi-sweet citrus smell.

The Yankee Candle's description: "A tropical beach breeze of sweet orange flower, lemony citrus, fresh lavender and powdery musk."
Vanilla Satin - $1.99 My thoughts: The color of the candle is a very light pastel pink and I feel that it has a pretty strong scent of a perfume with vanilla and maybe some type of floral cleaning item (not sure).

Yankee Candle's description: "Sophisticated. Classic. A smooth blend of rich vanilla, romantic flowers and sensuous sandalwood."
French Vanilla - $1.99 My thoughts: The color is like an off white/vanilla ice cream candle and to me, it's kind of has a scent of vanilla ice cream with those freshly made cones and a bit of a spice, like cinnamon.

Yankee Candle's description: "Sweet and traditional, the source of the vanilla fragrance is oil extracted from tropical orchids."

Vanilla Lime - $1.99 My thoughts: The candle looks like a green bean color and the scent smells like a sour sweet lime and lemon with hints of vanilla and minty herb.

Yankee Candle's description: "Smooth and refreshing - the creamy richness of vanilla with sweet cane sugar and a zesty lime twist."
Beach Walk - $1.99 My thoughts: The candle is a baby blue/ pastel blue and it has a sweet and sour floral scent, like lavender. It's like the scent of a calm breeze of mint (if that makes sense).

Yankee Candle's description: "Refreshing salt water and sea musk warmed with sunny notes of tangerine and orange blossom."
Oceanside - $1.99 My thoughts: It's a semi light blue candle and to me, it's a scent of baby powder with a bit of lemony/ minty fresh air.

Yankee Candle's description: "A quiet day at the beach . . . the warm, musky scent of calm sea air with touches of citrusy sunshine."
Lavender Vanilla - $1.99 My thoughts: The candle's color is like a grey-purple and it smells like the title, so it means it smells like vanilla and a musky lavender.

Yankee Candle's description: "An oasis of tranquility . . . the perfect mix of fresh lavender and warm vanilla with musk and bergamot."

Midsummer's Night - $1.99 My thoughts: This candle is unique and its color is a black. It has a really strong musky air scent with spearmint and a bit of the forest.

Yankee Candle's description: "An intoxicating and masculine blend of musk, patchouli, sage and mahogany cologne."

p.s. I love the name of this, but maybe it's just because I somewhat recently read the book (Midsummers Night Dream- Shakespeare), hmm?

Welcome!

I am a new blogger and this is my very first post so I hope you'll forgive my lack of skill. I adore reading blogs especially those about makeup and fashion, but maybe just because I'm an average teenage girl but also I'd consider myself lack of knowledge or the fashion sense? (can't think of a word or phrase for what I mean). But anyways, I have quite a good selection of makeup and I'd love to share my thoughts on those products and future products that I will hopefully be adding to my collection. I'd consider myself a tough grader, which means that I will have an honest and truthful opinion on the products, so don't worry I won't be saying, "You have to buy this! It's the best thing that was ever invented! Who cares if it's $70, it's totally worth the money!" when the product really sucks. I will be attempting to include well lit pictures, hopefully, and some swathes if needed. Finally, I think I will basically include anything else I feel like adding to this blog like favorite music, favorites of the month, nails, DIYs and other nonsense that pops into my head and please don't compare my blog to those top beauty blogs because I am nowhere near that, thanks! p.s. I definitely know this about myself and you may notice as well, but I am not the best writer nor a grammar nazi, so that means you may be seeing some spelling errors, fragments, and whatever else is in the english language that is absolutely important to those writers. p.p.s. is it even p.p.s? I have no clue, anyways the reason you probably found this blog is because I do have a youtube channel and I don't know if you'd consider me a youtube guru but I do try to do those types of videos with tutorials, hauls, and whatnot. You probably won't connect me with this blog since I am so shy in my videos, I am new to the whole concept of person+ video camera, so hopefully I will start to grasp the idea. If you haven't found me through youtube, well yay you found me through somewhere else, but you are probably wanting to know what my user is... basically just click the youtube link or search up the title of my blog (I'll give you a hint, look up) Thanks for checking out the channel and I hope you enjoy, sorry for the sarcasm but in all honesty I will try my best to somehow succeed with this blog.
