EOTD: Harmony of Diamonds and Tortoises

My first EOTD (Eye Of The Day) which will show the eye makeup I did for the day or a look I created when I was just playing around with makeup for that day. For a disclaimer, a lot of the time when I do crazy makeup, I most likely never wear it in public instead I take photos and show them (through the blog or to friends), I am just a makeup enthusiast. Well here is the EOTD. I was influenced/inspired in creating this since I really wanted to use some pigments that I never get to use since it is so messy, but yet so pretty. Why are they so messy? :( Anyways this is what I got out of the pigments I own (I only own a few).

Harmony of Diamonds and Tortoises. Why did I name it that? Because I am very 'original'...not...but that's the name of the products I used, so I just tried to play around with the names. Yeah.. I'll work on choosing better names for future looks. Maybe I should just do EOTD#1, #2,... I don't know... I'll stick to using random names so it could at least be somewhat unique.

Products that were used:
Listed out in order (so you can get an idea how I created it):
elf Eyelid primer - love this product, it creates a silky mousse-y texture to help the longevity of eyeshadow
Stila prime pot - another base that is a matte nude-like shade, has a tacky/thick texture to also help the longevity of shadows
LA Splash shadow - a bright nude diamond-like shade and placed in the inner corners of top and bottom lash line to make eyes pop/stand out
Da Vinci shadow - a warm satin/metallic-like milk chocolate shade and was applied to the rest of the eyelid and blended with the diamond color. Also applies to the bottom outer lash line
bareMinerals shadow - applies to the outer corner/ V of the eyelid and blended out into the crease. Also used a little to connect the bottom lash line. Gotta let it flow.
Maybelline gel liner (forgot to label in the photo, whoops) - used on the upper lash line, semi-thick line, and a tiny wing at the end of the eye. Thought that the wing would help the flow of shadows and well as unify and complete everything.
Rimmel scandaleyes liner - a nude liner was applied to the bottom water line to help open up the eye and make it appear more awake and brighter.
NYX brown liner - a dark brown liner smudged into the bottom outer lash line and was mixed in with the brown shadow by Da Vinci
Covergirl clump crusher mascara - a black mascara was applied to top and bottom lashes to help make the lashes stand out and to complete the entire look.

If you create this look, I would love to see your take on it. Also, if you have any comment, questions, or concerns, feel free to comment and I will try to respond as soon as possible!

What are your thoughts on this first EOTD?
And also, what are your thoughts on pigment shadows?
